Great news! Rick is home at last! He was discharged this afternoon and so far all is well.

  2. Fantastic news, give him my best regards. Been a few days since the last blog and after stating he'd got MRSA it went quiet, can breath out now, great news, a short blog but just what we were waiting to hear. He's in good hands now!

  4. Fantastic news! Of course it will mean hard work for Cheeks but I'm sure she'll cope admirably. Admirably; a bit like admiral, so let's celebrate Rick's return to the outside world with a top ten with a nautical theme:
    1. Rock the boat-Hues Corporation
    2. In the navy-Village People
    3. Sailing-Rod Stewart
    4. On board-Friendly Fires
    5. Don't pay the ferryman-Chris de Burgh
    6. Cruising-Sinitta
    7. Admiral-King Creosote
    8. Luxury liner-Emmylou Harris
    9. Sailor-Petula Clark
    10. Fr***ing in the rigging-Ivor Biggun & the Red Nosed Burglars(I think I'm right in saying this was really the Sex Pistols)

If there is a prize for tenuous links, I must be in with a chance!

Take it easy, Rick; hope to see you soon.
